An evening of monologue, circumstance and perhaps a little romp. Each play will be 15 minutes long, brought by the best in current and past Exeter talent, performed by the same actors, script in hand but adapting to new roles every quarter hour. The venue has a full bar, a beautiful atmosphere and there will be a poetry set by Isley Lynn to accompany the plays. Great for anyone who are thespians, thespiphiles, or need to overcome their thespiphobia.

Light&Sound is a show that fuses music and light design, sound design and... lanterns. Starting from the practice of rock show lighting, a group of artists who are usually seen backstage step into the limelight and become the centre of performance. This experimental show seeks to explore our emotional link with colours and sounds in a performative setting.

Good Mourning begins with two friends, late at night, their friendship stretching out behind them, both unsure of what stands before them. Polly wants to commit suicide. Lani is supportive, but affected by her own experiences. They spend the rest of that night trying to determine the best way to go about ending your own life, which is not as simple as one might think.

The God In The Well is at times a fairy-tale, at others social satire, as well as a dark dialogue between the forces of imagination and reason. The story of one fateful weekend in the lives of three headstrong, independent young people, this play asks serious questions of imagination and growing up. Set exclusively in the hermetic environment of an old abbey and its crumbling, mysterious well, we are presented with the border between story and reality, nature and civilization, as well as childhood and the pain of adulthood.
Performed 12th, 13th & 14th November at The M&D Room

“The Temple of Nothing is a company of women artists that explores the impossible and paradoxical through performance art; live, recorded, 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D, just text, just noise, visual media, silence and nothing.” With their new performance ‘Women Are Revolting’ bursting with conceptual spectacle, this was more than just a piece of theatre, but a celebration of female artists across a wide range of disciplines, all examining and marking what it means to be female.

Messiah
2010
Alice Lee-Fox - Director
Messiah: Scenes from a Crucifixion is one of Steven Berkoff's original stage plays and looks at the life and death of Jesus Christ, asking the audience to think about issues such as was Christ divine, a rebel leader,
a political victim, or a clever manipulator?
This piece of physical theatre uses mime, ensemble acting and monologues to explain the link between the 7 characters and the man believed by many to be the son of God. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to see a new interpretation of a powerful piece of total theatre.
Performances:
2nd & 3rd June, 8.30pm at Roborough Studios, Exeter
27th June at the Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter
