From critically acclaimed composers Andrew Bate and Phil Innes comes an exclusive, one night only event. On the 15th April Andrew Bate will be playing live at Phil Innes’ Grotto Studio in Truro, already well-known for its laid-back and intimate vibes. Audience members will be personally invited to experience the magic and contribute to the fun as Andrew performs what will then become a live album: Lemon Street Live, for the whole world to enjoy.
This intimate event is invitation only and set to be a very special night where the lines between social event and music gig, concert and party are blurred. It will also be your first chance to hear material for Andrew Bate’s upcoming studio album, currently in pre-production. To keep it small and friendly the Grotto has limited capacity, so this is an invitation only event.
Here’s looking forward to a unique evening of music and laughter to take us late into the night…

Andrew Bate - Writer, Performer

The whole Quilt team is happy to announce that rehearsals are under way for recording Andrew’s new studio album. Alongside a newly-formed band and a host of engineers, producers, managers etc, the stage is set for the epic, narrative-driven wriggle around in the macabre and tragic.
Recorded at the famous Sawmills Studios under the watchful eye of the brilliant Paul Reeve, there’s great support for the project, which was “finished” about two years ago, so it's a great relief to finally be making it a physical reality.
It’s a long-haul project, but we’ll keep you posted on how the sessions are going. In the meantime you can receive regular updates over at Andrew’s Facebook Music Page, or his Myspace.
